Update: A spokesperson for Channel 5 just issued the following statement regarding Parenthood‘s move to daytime: “Parenthood has been played in a variety of slots but unfortunately has not done as well as we had hoped which is why we have decided to try it in daytime. It is a quality drama with a family appeal which is why we feel it will lend itself well to a daytime audience.”
Previous: 5* has announced that the second season of NBC’s drama series Parenthood will return next week on Monday June 18th at 2pm, with a new episode eairing each day at 2pm. The five previously broadcast episodes of the show’s second season will air from June 18-22, with new episodes (6-22) airing from June 25th onwards. This comes after the drama series was pulled from 5*’s schedule back in March due to dissapointing ratings.
The first new episode to air will be Orange Alert at 2pm on Monday June 25th. Here is the description for that episode: “Zeek once again tries to go overboard with the Halloween celebration and is upset when Haddie, Amber and Drew refuse to join in the fun. Meanwhile, Adam and Kristina are nervous about Max’s new plans for the holiday. Sarah’s relationship with Gordon gets complicated after she confronts him about their kiss. Elsewhere, Julia struggles with her belief in women’s rights when Sydney chooses a costume she doesn’t approve of.”
