ABC Renews 'Scandal' For Season Two – TVWise

ABC has renewed Scandal for a second season.There is no official word on how many episodes have been ordered, although one source tells me it is for thirteen.
The drama series, from Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes, follows Olivia Pope, a former White House Communications Director, who runs a crisis management firm in Washington DC; where she must protect the images of the political elite, including the President of the United States. The drama series stars Kerry Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Columbus Short, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry and Tony Goldwyn. So far, over the course of its first season, Scandal has been averaging 7 million total viewers and a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demo in live+same day. The season one finale of Scandal is due to air on ABC next Thursday at 10/9c.
Scandal joins previouly renewed series Once Upon A Time, Castle, Revenge, Modern Family, Suburgatory, Grey’s Anatomy, Happy Endings and The Middle; all of which will be returning next season.
