Veteran comedy series 30 Rock has been renewed for a seventh and final season of 13 episodes, while dramedy Parenthood will be returning to the network for a fourth season of 15 episodes.
Both 30 Rock and Parenthood have performed well for the network this past season, but comments from 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin and NBC’s lack of comment on the future of Parenthood, which wrapped its third season run back in March, led many fans to wonder if either show would be back.
30 Rock and Parenthood join previously renewed series Grimm, Smash and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. There is still now word on the fate of bubble shows Community and Parks and Recreation, though I hear that both shows are expected to return next season.
