Exclusive: BBC Two is in discussions with production company Big Talk Productions about a possible third season of comedy series ‘Rev.’, TVWise has learned.
Rev. was created by Tom Hollander and James Woods and follows a Vicar who is relocated from a rural parish to an inner-city church where he must tend to his flock, which includes drug addicts, genuine believers and the homeless. The comedy series stars Tom Hollander as Reverend Adam Smallbone, Olivia Colman as Alex Smallbone, Miles Jupp as Nigel McCall, Steve Evets as Colin Lambert, Ellen Thomas as Adoha Onyeka and Simon McBurney as Archdeacon Robert.
The fate of the comedy series has been in doubt for some time, ever since the show’s second season finished airing on BBC Two last December. A representative of the BBC confirmed discussions were underway by saying: “BBC Two is very keen for ‘Rev.‘ to return and we are currently discussing the possibility of a third series with Big Talk Productions.”
TVWise will continue to monitor the situation and we will bring you more when we have it.
