More4 does have the UK broadcast rights to the fourth season of TNT’s drama series Southland, TVWise has confirmed. I’m being told that More4 is eyeing an Autumn premiere for the series, but that is not set in stone and may be subject to change.
Southland was created by Ann Biderman and follows the day-to-day lives of a group of police officers working for the Los Angeles Police Department. The series stars Michael Cudlitz, Shawn Hatosy, Benjamin McKenzie and Regina King, with Lucy Liu joining the cast in the fourth season in a recurring role.
The show recently finished airing its ten episode fourth season on TNT in the United States. Over the course of season four, Southland has averaged 1.8 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day and, with time-shifted data factored in, the series has posted gains of 4% among adults 18-49 and 2% among adults 25-54 compared to last year. TNT has yet to renew the series for a fifth season and is expected to decide on the future of the series within the next few weeks.
