Exclusive: I’ve learned that MTV has acquired the UK broadcast rights for the first season of I Just Want My Pants Back and they have already set a premiere date for the series: Tuesday March 27th at 10pm.
The drama series, which has already attracted the ire of the Parents Television Council in the United States, is based on the novel of the same name written by David J Rosen. The series follows the triumphs and misadventures of a group of twenty-something friends as they navigate post-college life in Brooklyn, New York. From acclaimed director and producer Doug Linman, I Just Want My Pants Back stars Peter Vack as Jason Strider, Kim Shaw as Tina, Elisabeth Hower as Stacey, Jordan Carlos as Eric, Chris Parnell as JB and Sunkrish Bala as Bobby.
The show’s first season, which consists of 12 episodes, is currently being broadcast by MTV in the United States. The seres is performing well for the network and has posted gains in the ratings for each week it has been on the air. To date, the first season of I Just Want My Pants Back has averaged 1.75 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day.
