24: Legacy is not getting a second season. U.S. broadcaster Fox has cancelled the latest entry in the 24 franchise after a single twelve episode season. While the series, starring Corey Hawkins, wont be returning, Fox is not quite done with the franchise. The network is actively considering an anthology take, which, while retaining the real-time format, would feature a new cast and story-line each season. Fox is understood to be in preliminary talks with Howard Gordon about this new anthological iteration.

TVWise reported late last year that the increased order was a key objective for senior Fox execs, who were eyeing the new season for a spot of the 2017-2018 schedule.
