After a combined twelve years and thirteen seasons, the franchise that began with The Closer, and since 2012 has continued on with Major Crimes, is set to come to a close. So, in this, my final post on TVWise, I caught up with series creator, executive producer and showrunner James Duff to ask him about what viewers can expect from the new episodes, whether or not Sharon and Andy finally tie the knot, if Kyra Sedgwick will reprise her role as Brenda Leigh Johnson, and whether or not the series finale will provide closure.

With a recent trend to more diverse scripted shows, a number of LGBT-centric shows have recently been commissioned. But despite these varied stories, offering a complex view of LGBT life, not a single one of these shows have secured a UK deal. So just why have these scripted dramas and comedies, which prominently feature LGBT characters, failed to cross the Atlantic?

TVWise has identified three shows that are close to securing UK deals. With one such agreement being "imminent". Those shows are CBS' MacGyver reboot, the newest entry in NBC's Chicago franchise, Chicago Justice; and CBS' The Good Wife spin-off The Good Fight.
