Alibi Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ Season 11

The eleventh season of Murdoch Mysteries will receive its UK premiere on UKTV’s Alibi channel on Monday January 8th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Based on the series of novels by Maureen Jennings, Murdoch Mysteries is set at the turn of the 20th century and revolves around Detective William Murdoch of the Toronto constabulary, who uses ground-breaking forensic techniques to close his cases. The drama series is produced by Canadian production company Shaftesbury Films in association with UKTV, CBC & ITV Studios Global Entertainment and stars Yannick Bisson, Thomas Craig, Helene Joy and Jonny Harris.

The show’s eleventh season will pick up from the season ten finale, which saw the futures of Detective Murdoch and the heroes of Station House No. 4 in jeopardy amidst a corruption investigation gone awry. Storylines this season will feature a number of Canadian and international historical figures, including physician William Osler and Helen Keller, the return of artist Tom Thomson, President Theodore Roosevelt, and Alexander Graham Bell. Tamzin Outhwaite guest stars in the season premiere.
