The second season of Orange Is The New Black will premiere on Sony Channel on Wednesday October 4th at 9pm, with a double-bill, it has been announced.
Orange Is The New Black follows engaged Brooklynite Piper Chapman, whose decade-old relationship with drug-runner Alex results in her arrest and year-long detention in a federal penitentiary. The drama series stars Taylor Schilling, Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Kate Mugrew, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Taryn Manning, Laverne Cox, Michael Harney, Samira Wiley, Yael Stone and Lorraine Toussaint.
The thirteen episode second season goes back behind bars for another sentence with the fearless, funny and unforgettable inmates of Litchfield prison. Piper wake up in solitary and she’s not coping very well in her new surroundings, whilst in the prison a bathroom turf war erupts between the convicts. Netflix has already renewed the series through season seven. Orange Is The New Black hails from Lionsgate Television, executive produced by Jenji Kohan and based on Piper Kerman’s best-selling book of the same name.
