Virgin Media Acquires TNT’s ‘Good Behavior’, Eyes September Premiere

Virgin Media is adding a third exclusive U.S. scripted acquisition to their current slate. The company has secured the UK rights to TNT’s drama series Good Behavior, starring Downtown Abbey‘s Michelle Dockery, after striking a deal with international distributor Turner International. It joins Ash Vs. Evil Dead and Imposters, both of which also air exclusively in the UK on the Virgin Media platform

Good Behavior will be available on Virgin TV On-Demand from Monday September 11th, when the first six episodes from season one will be available. A new episode will then be released every Monday, through to the season one finale on October 9th. The following week, on Monday October 16th, Virgin will make the season two premiere available and will release new episodes every Monday, less than 24 hours after they air on TNT in the United States.

“Our Full House customers will be gripped by this gritty suspense-filled drama, which stars Michelle Dockery as you’ve never seen her before. We’re giving them six binge-worthy episodes followed by one a week after that and series two airing at the same time as the US”, said David Bouchier, Chief Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media. “Good Behavior, our seventh exclusive series, adds to our bounty of the best, must-watch TV all available in one place the way our customers want it.”

Good Behaviour follows Letty Raines (Michelle Dockery), a thief and con-artist whose life is always one wrong turn, one bad decision from implosion — which is just how she likes it. Fresh out of prison, Letty is attempting to stay afloat — but when she overhears a hitman being hired to kill a man’s wife, she sets out to derail the job, setting her on a collision course with the killer and entangling them in a dangerous and seductive relationship. Juan Diego Botto (Ismael), Terry Kinney (Oz) and Lusia Strus (Wayward Pines) also star.

Based on the book series by Blake Crouch, Good Behavior was developed for television by Chad Hodge, who previously adapted Crouch’s Wayward Pines for Fox. Hodge penned the script and serves as the executive producer/showrunner. The ITV joint venture Tomorrow Studios are producing, with Blake Crouch, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements executive producing alongside Hodge. Notably, it was Hodge’s commitment to Good Behavior that forced him to step down as showrunner on Wayward Pines for its second season.

“An enthralling series with dark, intriguing and complex characters – Good Behavior is addictive TV at its best. Michelle Dockery gives a captivating performance in the lead role, portraying the multifaceted Letty Raines in a marked departure from Downton’s Lady Mary”, added Pierre Branco, Turner’s Senior Vice President & General Manager for UK and Nordic. “We are incredibly proud of this show and excited to be partnering with Virgin to bring it to UK audiences on SVOD for viewers to tune in however and whenever they choose.”
