The fourth season of TNT’s drama series The Last Ship will receive its UK premiere on Sky1 on Sunday August 27th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Based on William Brinkley’s novel, The Last Ship chronicles a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world’s population. Because of its positioning, the Navy destroyer U.S.S. Nathan James avoided falling victim to the devastating tragedy. But now, CO Captain Tom Chandler and his crew must confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they may be among the few remaining survivors.

The Last Ship was developed for television by Hank Steinberg and Steve Kane. The drama series is produced by Platinum Dunes and Studio T (formerly known as TNT Original Productions) and stars Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin, Bridget Regan, Charles Parnell, Travis Van Winkle, Marissa Neitling, Christina Elmore, Jocko Sims, Bren Foster and Kevin Michael Martin. In the opening episode of season four, sixteen months after thwarting the coup in America, Nathan James must face yet another global disaster. The question remains, where in the world is Tom Chandler?
