Scorpion Secures International Sales For Channel 4's 'Diana: In Her Own Words' – TVWise

Diana: In Her Own Words is going global. International distributor Scorpion TV has sold Channel 4’s controversial documentary film, produced by Kaboom Film and TV, into more than 20 international territories.
Seven Network in Australia, Prime in New Zealand, NHK in Japan, RTL in Germany, VTM in Belgium, SBS in Holland, VG in Norway, Via 24 in South Africa, Odisea in Spain, TV2 in Denmark, ORF in Austria, TVP in Poland and TVN in Chile have all acquired the film. Further deals are also pending.
“This was the Diana film everybody has been talking about over the last few weeks”, David Cornwall, Managing Director of Scorpion TV, said in a statement. “The level of interest in the film has been intense but despite the media frenzy buyers have understood that the film has been well crafted and sensitively handled by Bafta winning director Kevin Sim.”
Securing international sales for Diana: In Her Own Words was not a straight forward process as, given the sensitive nature of the project, buyers had to sign a non-disclosure-agreement to have access to the film at every stage; from the trailer to the final cut. The international roll out starts today (Tuesday September 22nd), with PBS in the United States, who co-produced, set to air the film tonight under the title Diana: Her Story.
