Netflix Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘The Expanse’ Season 2

The second season of Syfy’s space-opera series The Expanse will receive its UK premiere on Netflix UK on Friday September 8th, when all thirteen episodes will be available to stream.

The Expanse is set two hundred years in the future, after mankind has colonized the solar system. The series tells the story of a hardened detective and a rogue ship’s captain who come together for what starts as the case of a missing young woman and evolves into a race across the solar system to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history.

The drama series is based on the book series of the same name and was devised by Sean Daniel and Jason Brown. The Expanse is produced by Alcon TV and stars Thomas Jane, Steven Strait, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham, Florence Faivre. Jonathan Banks and Jay Hernandez. Season 2 kicks off with interplanetary tensions at an all-time high, the cold war between Earth and Mars is on the brink of an all-out battle. Syfy has already ordered a third season for 2018.
