Channel 4 Sets Premiere Date For ‘The Windsors’ Season 2

The second second of Channel 4’s royal comedy The Windsors will premiere on Wednesday July 5th at 10pm, it has been announced.

The Windsors is a half-hour comedy series that takes a satricial look at the British Royal family. It is produced by Noho Film and TV and stars Harry Enfield, Haydn Gwynne, Morgana Robinson, Louise Ford, Hugh Skinner, Richard Goulding, Katy Wix, Ellie White, Celeste Dring, Tim Wallers and Matthew Cottle.

In the opening episodes of the show’s second season, Prince Charles refuses to help secure a trade deal with the Chinese. But when Camilla withholds his conjugal rights, Charles agrees to host a banquet. When Harry introduces girlfriend Meghan Markle (Kathryn Drysdale) to the family, Meghan mistakes Camilla for the Queen. Elsewhere, Beatrice and Eugenie cater the banquet in the hope Aunty Anne will let them back on the sovereign grant.
