Sky Atlantic Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7

The seventh season of HBO’s flagship drama series Game Of Thrones will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Monday July 17th at 2am, simulcast with the premium cable network’s east-coast feed. The season premiere will also be repeated later that same day in the show’s regular 9pm time-slot.

Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones chronicles an epic struggle for power in the vast and violent continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years, and only the lust for power is eternal. The series is a production of HBO Originals, with David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield serving as executive producers.

No plot details have been released for the seven episode sixth season, though it is expected to pick up from the season six finale; which saw Cersei crowned Queen, while Daenarys sets sail for Westeros to claim the throne. The cast for season seven includes Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Sophie Turner amd Maisie Williams,
