National Geographic Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Genius’

Genius – the scripted anthology series about Albert Einstein – will receive its UK premiere on National Geographic UK on Sunday April 23rd at 9pm, it has been announced.

Genius is a scripted anthology series that dramatize the fascinating stories of the world’s most brilliant innovators. Season one charts how Albert Einstein, an imaginative, rebellious patent clerk who struggled to land an academic post in his early years, went on to become the greatest scientific mind of the 20th century, all while juggling volatile, passionate and complex personal relationships.

The drama series is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and stars Geoffrey Rush, Claire Rushbrook, Emily Watson, Johnny Flynn, Michael McElhatton, Richard Topol, Robert Lindsay. Samantha Colley, Seth Gabel, Shannon Tarbet, T.R. Knight and Vincent Kartheiser as Raymond Geist. The first season is based on Walter Isaacson’s critically acclaimed book “Einstein: His Life and Universe.” The executive producers are Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Francie Calfo, Ken Biller, Gigi Pritzker, Rachel Shane, Sam Sokolow and Jeff Cooney.
