E4’s new comedy-drama series Gap Year (formerly known as Foreign Bodies) will premiere on Thursday February 23rd at 9pm, it has been announced.
Gap Year tells the story of a motley gang of travellers embarking on a three-month trip around Asia. British lads Sean and Dylan meet American girls May and Ashley in Beijing and opt to undergo the first leg of their travels together, but soon find that their journey takes them much further than any of them expected.
The eight episode series, which is set up as a co-production with US cable network TNT, was created by Plebs co-creator Tom Basden, who penned the scripts alongside James Wood, Amy Roberts, Loren McLaughlin, Charlie Covell, Tim Key and Jonny Sweet. It is being produced by Eleven in association with Entertainment One (eOne) and stars Anders Hayward (Sistema), Ade Oyefeso (Unforgotten), Brittney Wilson (Bates Motel), Alice Lee (Faking It), Tim Key (Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa) and Janeane Garofalo (Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce).
