Sky Atlantic To Simulcast ‘Twin Peaks’ Revival

The Twin Peaks revival is getting the Game Of Thrones treatment.

Sky Atlantic has announced that, just as they do for the HBO fantasy drama, they will be fast-tracking Twin Peaks and will offer a 2am simulcast with Showtime’s east coast feed on Monday May 22nd. The two-hour premiere episode will then be repeated later the following day (Tuesday May 23rd) in its regular 9pm time-slot.

Showtime’s Twin Peaks limited event series, which runs a total of eighteen hours, picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. David Lynch directed and devised the new episodes with co-creator Mark Frost. A large number of original cast members are on-board to reprise their roles, including  Kyle MacLachlan as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper.

Or, they’re going to start at the same time as Showtime, but then they’ll take ad breaks and the UK finishes 10 minutes behind the US…..
Sky really does need to go and learn the meaning of simulcast!
