longmire-s5UPDATED, November 10th: There has been a slight change in the schedules over at TCM UK. After initially announcing that the fifth season of Longmire would launch on Sunday November 20th at 9pm, the Turner owned channel has now moved the season premiere to the earlier 7:40pm time-slot.

PREVIOUS, November 2nd: The fifth season of the A&E turned Netflix western crime drama Longmire will receive its UK premiere on TCM UK on Sunday November 20th at 9pm, TVWise can reveal.

Based on the novels by Craig Johnson, Longmire follows Walt Longmire, the Sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Robert Taylor (The Matrix), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Lou Diamond Phillips (Stargate: Universe), Bailey Chase (Damages), Cassidy Freeman (Smallville) and Adam Bartley. Earlier, today Netflix renewed the series for a sixth and final season, consisting of ten episodes, to air in 2017.

The show’s ten episode fifth season picks up from the events of the season four cliffhanger, which saw Walt Longmire and his girlfriend Dr. Donna Sue Monaghan (Ally Walker) shot by an armed intruder in Walt’s house. Laying in a hospital bed attempting to make sense of the attack, their fate and relationship both seem uncertain. However, one thing is clear: Walt Longmire is being hunted. Meanwhile, Cady is forced to come to terms with her deal with Jacob Nighthorse, the ultimate betrayal for her father. Vic determines a new level of independence for herself and Ferg begins a new relationship where deception lurks beneath the surface.

TVWise’s UK Premiere Dates page has been updated with this new information.
