Sky1 has renewed their Ross Kemp fronted factual series Extreme World for a sixth season, the satcaster announced today.
From Kemp’s indie Freshwater Films, Ross Kemp: Extreme World follows Ross Kemp as he travels around the world. Ross Kemp and Tom Sheahan are the executive producers.
The show’s sixth season, which is set to premiere in 2017, will see Ross tackling topics such as migrant smuggling across borders, the deadly consequences of the war on drugs and the rise of violent extremism.
“Extreme World has been a huge success for us, giving our audiences an insight into the dramatic human stories behind the headlines at home and overseas”, said Celia Taylor, Sky’s Head of Non-Scripted Commissioning. “We are delighted that Ross is returning to the channel as we know our viewers value and enjoy his brave and gripping reporting.”
