Fox's '24: Legacy' Adds Veronica Cartwright & Laith Nakli – TVWise

Fox is adding to the cast of 24: Legacy.
Veronica Cartwright (Resurrection, Bosch) and Laith Nakli (The Blacklist, Blindspot) have joined the latest iteration of the 24 franchise. Veronica Carthwright is a series regular, while while Laith Nakli will be a recurring cast member.
24: Legacy tells the story of US Army Ranger Eric Carter, who six months ago led the squad that killed Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid. In the aftermath a fatwah against the squad and their families, forcing them into the federal witness protection program. But when Carter is nearly killed it becomes clear that his identity has been compromised and he must reach out to CTU for help; kick-staring an adrenaline-fueled race against the clock to stop a devastating terrorist attack on United States soil.
Per Variety, who first reported the casting news, Laith Nakli will play Kusuma, a battle-hardened jihadist who is hell bent; while Veronica Cartwright will play Margaret Donovan, the mother of presidential candidate Senator John Donovan. Described as a formidable character in the arenas business and politics, she has lost very few battles in her life. They join a cast that is being led by Corey Hawkins and also includes Corey Hawkins, Miranda Otto, Jimmy Smits, Teddy Sears, Dan Bucatinsky, Anna Diop. Ashley Thomas, Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Peña and Sheila Vand.
24: Legacy hails from original series executive producers Manny Coto and Evan Katz and is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Imagine Television, Teakwood Lane, Rego Park Film and Television and Borderland Entertainment. Howard Gordon, Brian Grazer, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, Stephen Hopkins, Robert Cochran, Jon Cassar and Kiefer Sutherland serve as executive producers. Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution has yet to sell the series to a UK broadcaster.
