Emilia Fox, Iain Glen & Sheila Hancock Join Sky1’s ‘Delicious’

Emilia FoxEmilia Fox (Silent Witness), Iain Glen (Game Of Thrones) and Sheila Hancock (The Boy In The Striped Pajamas) have signed on for starring roles opposite Dawn French in Sky’s four-part event drama Delicious, TVWise has learned.

For main course – an absolute treat to be working on such great scripts”, said Emilia Fox. “For the perfect recipe – a brilliant crew, cast and production team. I can’t wait to tuck in!”

Delicious tells the story of Gina a passionate cook was once married to Leo Vincent, a successful entrepreneur, chef and hotel owner in Cornwall. Leo owes much of his success to Gina’s exceptional cooking, but since leaving her for the glamorous Sam, his business has continued to thrive.When Sam has suspicions that Leo is having an affair she confides in Gina, confident that she’ll recognise the signs. Only to later discover that it’s Gina herself who is the ‘other woman’.

Iain GlenDawn French leads the cast as passionate cook Gina; Emilia Fox has been cast as Sam, Leo’s current partner who comes to believe he is having an affair; and Iain Glen has been set as Leo Vincent, a successful hotel owner who is seeing Sam and is engaged in an affair with his ex-wife Gina. Details of Sheila Hancock’s role are being kept under wraps.

Delicious is being penned by noted scribe Dan Sefton, who is also working on medical drama The Good Karma Hospital for ITV, and is set up at Endemol Shine’s Bandit Television. The executive producers are Phillippa Giles for Bandit Television and Anna Ferguson for Sky. Endemol Shine International will handle global sales.

The four-part series is the latest drama to get a green-light at Sky as part of the satcaster’s commitment to producing original drama year-round. Other dramas in the works as party of said commitment include Amazon co-produce BritanniaThe Young Pope, Hooten & The Lady, Guerrilla, Tin Star, Delicious, Riviera, Jamestownand The Last Dragonslayer, as well as returning series Fortitude and Agatha Raisin
