BBC One has ordered four-part natural history series Ingenious Animals, which hails from Twofour’s Oxford Scientific Films.
“Ingenious Animals has been an incredibly illuminating series to make – there are so many exciting new discoveries in the world of Animal Science”, said Alice Keens-Soper, Head of Specialist Factual for Oxford Scientific Films.
Fronted by Patrick Aryee, Giles Clark, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Lucy Cooke, Ingenious Animals explores animal behaviour stories, from around the world, that shed new light on our understanding of the animal kingdom. Each episode focusses a different theme, from animal intelligence, to animal relationships, animal communication and anatomy.
The four-parter was commissioned by BBC Commissioning Editor Craig Hunter. Gary Broadhurst is the series producer, while Alice Keens-Soper serves as executive producer. Twofour Rights will handle global sales. “OSF brings their distinctive visual flare to a whole new world of animal behaviour… it is truly sumptuous viewing that will have the audience laughing and crying in equal measure…”. said Hunter.
