Universal Cable Productions is promoting two of their own. The NBCU owned studio, which produces both scripted and unscripted shows for cable networks, has upped development executives Kate Fenske and Elise Henderson to Senior Vice-President, TVWise has learned.
“Kate and Elise have strong relationships within the creative community, amazing intuition and phenomenal development skills”, said UCP’s Executive Vice President of Development Dawn Olmstead, to whom both execs continue to report. “They’ve been instrumental to UCP’s growth over these past few years and we look forward to their involvement as we continue expand our creative slate.”
Both execs have been key to UCP’s success over the past few years. Fenske led the development of Syfy’s The Magicians & USA Network’s Colony; and is currently working on a wealth of shows including Falling Water, Channel Zero and My So Called Wife. Fenske previously served as the Head of Marketing for BBC One and BBC Drama, and was brought to UCP by Olmstead, after working for her as Head of Dvelopment at Olmstead’s The Grady Twins.
Elise Henderson has been a key part of the development team behind USA Network’s hit series Mr. Robot. She’s currently overseeing The Arrangement, from Emmy Award-winning executive producer Jonathan Abrahams, set to premiere next year on E!; and Syfy’s Incorporated, a UCP co-production with CBS Television from Pearl Street Films executive produced by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Todd. Henderson began her career at William Morris Agency and later worked at United Talent Agency, before she moved to Nicholas Sparks Productions as a development exec.
