Britt Robertson Set As Lead In Netflix's Comedy Series 'Girlboss' – TVWise

Netflix has found their Girlboss.
Britt Robertson has been tapped to play the lead in the 13 episode comedy series which is based on the NY Times best-selling book by Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso, TVWise has learned.
Girlboss follows Sophia (Robertson), a rebellious, broke anarchist who refuses to grow up. She stumbles upon her passion of selling vintage clothes online and becomes an unlikely businesswoman. As she builds her retail fashion empire, she realizes the value and the difficulty of being the boss of her own life.
This is the latest high profile TV role for Britt Robertson, who previously had starring roles on such series as Under The Dome, The Secret Circle and Life Unexpected. More recently she has starred in feature films The Space Between Us, Mr. Church and the DreamWorks’s A Dog’s Purpose, which also stars Dennis Quaid and was directed by Lasse Hallstrom. She is represented by Innovative Artists.
Originally picked up with a 13 episode straight-to-series order back in February, Girlboss comes to Netflix from Kay Cannon, who created the series and will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Charlize Theron, Laverne McKinnon, Christian Ditter and Sophia Amoruso will also serve as executive producers. Ditter is attached to direct. The series is being produced in-house by Netflix Originals.
