FX is teaming with Fargo executive producer Noah Hawley to develop a limited series adaptation of the Kurt Vonnegut novel Cat’s Cradle, TVWise has confirmed.
Cat’s Cradle was first published in 1963 and takes a satirical look at war, religion and scientific advances.
The limited series adaptation is being penned by Noah Hawley and is set up at IM Global and FX Networks’ in-house production division FX Productions. In addition to penning the script, Hawley will also serve as an executive producer. Deadline first reported the news.
This marks the latest collaboration between FX and Hawley, who became something of a hot writer at the network after he developed Fargo alongside former NBC exec Warren Littlefield. Hawley, who is under an overall deal at FX Productions, is also busy penning and executive producing Marvel project Legion, which scored a pilot order at the network last month.
