Sky Atlantic Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘The Last Panthers’

The Last PanthersSky Atlantic’s newest original series The Last Panthers will premiere on Thursday November 12th at 9pm, it has been announced.

A co-production with French broadcaster Canal+, The Last Panthers opens with a daring diamond heist before quickly delving into the dark heart of Europe where a shadowy alliance of gangsters and ‘banksters’ now rules. The cast is being led by Tahar Rahim as Khalil, a French-Algerian policeman in pursuit of the thieves; Samantha Morton as Naomi, a British loss adjustor charged with recovering the stolen diamonds whatever the cost; and John Hurt as Tom, her nefarious boss.

Based on an idea by Jerome Pierrat and penned by Jack Thorne, The Last Panthers is a tri-lingual series, which has been filmed in English, French and Serbian, and is being co-produced by Haut et Court TV (The Returned) & Warp Films in association with Canal+. The executive producers are Peter Carlton, Caroline Benjo and Jimmy Desmarais; while Bates Motel helmer Johan Renck directed. Tandem and Sky Vision are handling global distribution.
