Gold’s Sarah Alexander (Undercover) fronted supernatural comedy series Marley’s Ghosts will premiere on Wednesday September 30th at 10pm, it has been announced.
Marley’s Ghosts is described as a “distinctive and original ensemble” which tells the story of Marley (Sarah Alexander), a woman who has a rare gift that comes with mixed blessings. She can talk to the dead, which sadly now includes both her husband Adam, her lover Michael and her vicar. The cast also includes John Hannah (Spartacus) as Marley’s husband Adam, Jo Joyner (EastEnders) as Marley’s vicar and Nicholas Burns (Benidorm) as Marley’s lover Michael.
The series is one of five new comedies that UKTV’s Gold channel has greenlit as part of their aggressive push into scripted comedy, which comes after they tested the waters with their Anthony Head of Eve Myles sitcom You, Me & Them. Marley’s Ghosts was created by Daniel Peacock and is set up at the All3Media owned indie John Stanley Productions. Katie Mavroleon is set as the series producer, while Layla Smith is executive producing. The director is Ben Gosling Fuller.
