Longmire - Season 3UPDATE, October 8th: TCM UK has pushed back the launch date for season four and extended the time slot to 90 minutes. Season 4 four will now premiere on Sunday November 15th at 7:30pm.

PREVIOUS, September 23rd: The fourth season of Wyoming set cop drama Longmire will receive its UK premiere on TCM UK on Sunday November 1st at 8pm, it has been announced.

Longmire follows Walt Longmire, the Sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Longmire is a widower who, following his wife’s death, lost interest in his job as Sheriff. But with the help of one of his deputies he re-commits to his job and decides to run for re-election, only to find that one of his own men is running against him. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Robert Taylor (The Matrix), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Lou Diamond Phillips (Stargate: Universe), Bailey Chase (Damages), Cassidy Freeman (Smallville) and Adam Bartley.

The show’s fourth picks up moments after the season three finale. Walt Longmire, having found out who was behind the murder of his wife, succumbs to his darker impulses and takes off in pursuit of the killer with murder on his mind. Meanwhile, Branch Connally, the deputy who Walt fired for erratic, violent behavior, believes he has already figured out who the real culprit is. But during his confrontation with this suspected killer, a gun goes off. Now the audience will finally learn what happened, and whether Walt can be stopped before he makes a fatal choice.

Season four of Longmire was the first to be produced for Netflix after original network A&E cancelled the series at the end of the third season. As TVWise previously reported, the streaming service only holds first window rights to new seasons of Longmire in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, with WB’s licensing deals with traditional broadcasters in all other international markets unaffected by the Netflix pick up. Netflix UK is expected to stream the new season in 2016 following its linear transmission on TCM UK and the FTA window on Channel 5.

I just hope its not edited for time and content with it being at 8pm as there is some grizzly and swearing scenes plus the episodes are between 55mins and 1h.5mins long without commercials so. . . .

    • Per TCM’s just released schedule for November it’s a sixty minute slot, so It looks like there may be some edits
