Fox is extending the run of midseason comedy Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Surviving Life.
More than three months before the series is set to premiere, the network has handed out an order for seven additional episodes, TVWise has confirmed. With the increase, Fox has now ordered a total of 13 episodes for the show’s first season.
The increased episode order, which was first reported by Deadline, comes just as the Fall season is set to kick off today and is a real sign of confidence from Fox brass, especially as comedy has been a genre the network has been struggling with for the past few seasons. Filming was just wrapping on Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Life‘s first six episodes when the increased order came in, allowing it to remain in production.
Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Surviving Life is a single camera comedy which celebrates the mistakes and misadventures we all make during the years after college, before settling down. The comedy is produced by 20th Century Fox Television & Gail Berman’s The Jackal Group and stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Meaghan Rath, James Earl, Charlie Saxton, Justin Bartha and Maureen Sebastian. Jay Lacopo created the series and serves as an executive producer alongside Gail Berman.
