TNT Sets Premiere Dates For ‘The Librarians’, ‘Agent X’ & ‘Legends’

The Librarians S1 FinaleTNT has firmed up their plans for the fall season.

The Turner owned cable network has unveiled details of their fall schedule, which includes the return of the second highest rated drama series Major Crimes, the second season of The Librarians, the ten episode first season of Sharon Stone starrer Agent X and the delayed second season of their Sean Bean fronted spy thriller Legends.

Up first is the second season of The Librarians, which kicks off on Sunday November 1st at 8/7c with a two-hour premiere. The Librarians centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. The drama series is produced by Electric Entertainment and stars Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, John Larroquette, Lindy Booth, John Kim, Bob Newhart, Jane Curtin, Matt Frewer and Noah Wyle, who reprises his role from the original TV movies. Check out a trailer for the new season below.

The following day, on Monday November 2nd at 9/8c, Major Crimes returns for a run of eight new episodes. Created by James Duff, Major Crimes follows the major crimes unit of the LAPD under the command of Captain Sharon Raydor. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Phillip P. Keene, Kearran Giovanni, Graham Patrick Martin, Nadine Velazquez, Robert Gossett and Jonathan Del Arco. TNT has ordered a further five episodes to air in the spring, while talks between the studio and the network for a fifth season pick up are still on-going.

LegendsAiring just behind Major Crimes is Legends, which launches its second season on Monday November 2nd at 10/9c. Legends is based on the Robert Littell novel of the same name and follows Martin Odum (Sean Bean), an undercover agent working for the FBI’s Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division who has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a completely different person for each job. Fox 21 Television Studios produces. The show’s 10 episode second season will see Legends undergo something of a creative reboot under new showrunner Ken Biller. Legends recently added Aisling Franciosi (The Fall), Winter Ave Zoli (Sons of Anarchy), Steve Kazee (Shameless) and Kelly Overton (True Blood) as series regulars for the new season.

Last to debut is Sharon Stone fronted thriller Agent X on Sunday November 8th at 9/8c. Agent X follows John Case, a top secret agent hidden from the view of the public – and even from the President – who is trained and ready to serve, deployed only at the careful discretion of the Vice President. Case must tackle global threats and the palaces of intrigue of Washington D.C. With Case handling high-stakes missions that are too sensitive for the FBI and the CIA, incumbent VP Natalie Maccabee (Stone) soon finds herself being drawn into the action. The drama series was penned by Blake Heron and is being produced by TNT Originals in association with Beacon Pictures. In addition to Sharon Stone, Agent X also stars Jeff Hephner and Gerald McRaney. The executive producers are Armyan Bernstein and Sharon Stone.

Looking forward to both Legends and Agent X.
Any idea of these are to get UK broadcasters at all?

    • Sky1 holds the UK rights to Legends, as for Agent X there has not been any sizable movement yet and I’ve heard nothing concrete on a UK deal.
