Longmire - Season 3Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming ten episode fourth season of Wyoming set cop drama Longmire, which is set to premiere on the streaming service in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia on Thursday September 10th.

Longmire follows Walt Longmire, the Sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Longmire is a widower who, following his wife’s death, lost interest in his job as Sheriff. But with the help of one of his deputies he re-commits to his job and decides to run for re-election, only to find that one of his own men is running against him. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Robert Taylor (The Matrix), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Lou Diamond Phillips (Stargate: Universe), Bailey Chase (Damages), Cassidy Freeman (Smallville) and Adam Bartley.

The show’s fourth picks up moments after the season three finale. Walt Longmire, having found out who was behind the murder of his wife, succumbs to his darker impulses and takes off in pursuit of the killer with murder on his mind. Meanwhile, Branch Connally, the deputy who Walt fired for erratic, violent behavior, believes he has already figured out who the real culprit is. But during his confrontation with this suspected killer, a gun goes off. Now the audience will finally learn what happened, and whether Walt can be stopped before he makes a fatal choice.

As TVWise previously revealed, Netflix’s deal to resurrect Longmire for a fourth season only gave them first window rights to the new episodes in select territories, with the vast major of licensing deals agreed by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution unaffected by the pick up. As such, TCM UK has retained first window rights to the series in the UK (Channel 5 still holds FTA), with plans to air the show’s fourth season this Autumn.

So……..they get first view rights but after that …..does A&E stick their finger in the pie? I already hate A&E and will never watch anything of theirs again, but if this is the case, they are going to lose a lot more viewers. They could do this to ANY show.
