NBCU is making a change to the structure of their international distribution and global channels business.
NBCUniversal International has announced the creation of a multi-territory, regional hub In London which will align the activities of NBCUniversal International Distribution (formerly NBCUniversal International Television Distribution) and NBCUniversal International Networks (formerly known as Universal Networks International) across EMEA.
As part of said alignment, NBCUniversal International has made a number of key executive appointments. Satpal Brainch has been promoted to the newly created position of Managing-Director of Distribution & Networks for EMEA; while Carolyn Stalins has been named Senior Vice-President of Distribution for EMEA.
As MD, Brainch will report to NBCUI President Belinda Menendez and will drive both content distribution and the channels business for the region from the London headquarters. He previously served as MD of UNI and was responsible for the overall strategy of the business’ channel brands including Universal Channel, E!, Syfy, 13th Street, Studio Universal and DIVA.
Carolyn Stalins meanwhile will relocate to London to lead content distribution across the region and will report to Brainch. She was previously based in the company’s Paris office where she most recently served as NBCUniversal International’s Managing-Director of Distribution and Networks for Southern Europe, with oversight of both businesses across France, Iberia and Italy.

Elsewhere, Don McGregor, Executive Vice-President of International Distribution, is getting an expanded role which will see him relocate from London to Los Angeles. He will report to Menendez and will work closely with marketing, Product and Research as he attempts to maximizing the company’s sales strategy, taking on the additional responsibility of driving sales solutions.
