Talking DeadFOX UK is bringing The Talking Dead to the UK.

After trialling the series by airing a one-off special earlier this year, the Fox International Channels owned and operated channel has acquired the exclusive UK broadcast right to The Talking Dead. As it does in the U.S., The Talking Dead will air behind new episodes of The Walking Dead this Autumn.

Talking Dead is an after-show hosted Chris Hardwick which sees a range of guests – including fans, actors and producers – discuss the most recent episode of The Walking Dead whilst taking questions and comments from viewers. The talk series, which is one of the only remaining unscripted originals on AMC, drew strong ratings on FOX UK when they aired the special, averaging a consolidated audience of just under 500K viewers.

“FOX will always be the only place in the UK where viewers can watch premiere episodes of The Walking Dead, just 24 hours after the U.S. transmission”, said Jeff Ford, Managing Director of FIC UK. “Fans are passionate about the series and Talking Dead will allow them to catch up on even more zombie excitement, with exclusive interviews from the cast and crew, to really enhance their viewing experience.”

“I am THRILLED to finally be able to bring the show to the UK. Talking Dead gives fans the opportunity to communally process the episode they’ve just watched and to nerd out about the story in a very public forum: what they like, what they don’t like, or what types of filthy things they want to do with Daryl”, added Chris Hardwick. “Additionally, it will better inform viewers on making intelligent decisions when faced with the zombie apocalypse, which will DEFINITELY happen at some point (TIP: trust no one and aim for the brain).”
