Homeland and 24 executive producer Howard Gordon is teaming with Bones scribe Nkechi Okoro Carroll for a new medical drama which has landed at Fox with a script commitment with significant penalty attached.
The as-yet untitled drama is described as a medical franchise that revolves around three brilliant young doctors who grew up together in Comp ton and are reunited at an extraordinary cutting-edge hospital in Beverly Hills. Now the shared secrets from their past force them to straddle the line between the opulence of their new world and the hard streets they came from.
Nkechi Okoro Carroll is penning the script for the drama, which is set up at Fox’s sister studio 20th Century Fox Television. Howard Gordon will executive produce through his Teakwood Lane Productions banner. Hugh Fitzpatrick and Nkechi Okoro Carroll will also serve as executive producers on the project.
This project further extends Gordon’s long-running relationship with Fox. The veteran producer has had a relationship with the network dating back to the early 2000s when he came on-board 24. His Teakwood Lane Productions banner is also housed at 20th Century Fox Television and through said banner he has created/produced a range of high-profile shows for the studio (and their cable division Fox 21 Television Studios), including cable dramas Homeland and Tyrant.
