Adrianne PalickiABC is once again moving forward with a Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off.

After initially developing the project last season, the network has handed out an official pilot order to Marvel’s Most Wanted, an hour-long drama series that will revolve around Bobbi Morse (AKA Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter, Variety reports. Both Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood, who played the two characters on S.H.I.E.L.D., are on-board to reprise their roles on the proposed spin-off.

Most Wanted hails from Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, who were behind the initial stab at the project last season, and are writing the script for the pilot. Word is that the project has been redeveloped to some degree, but will all things Marvel relate, precise details are being kept firmly under wraps. ABC Studios and Marvel Television will produce with , Bell and Zbyszewski executive producing.

Marvel already has two TV shows on ABC in Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel’s Agent Carter. Network president Paul Lee has remained high on Marvel product, despite the fact that both prior entries have middling ratings (Disney’s ownership of both ABC and Marvel is a factor). To that end, the network is also developing another Marvel series from John Ridley, though precise details are, once again, being kept under wraps.

Just one question: why? As if AoS’s ratings aren’t bad enough, we’re going to take 2 unpowered Agents and give them their own series?

Maybe there’s a movie storyline that links in with this latest spin-off as has been the case with other Marvel shows. Stan Lee must be as wealthy as Hugh Hefner by now.
