A+E Networks UK is undergoing a big shake-up at the top.
Tom Davidson is exiting the company, which is a joint venture between A+E Networks and Sky, after serving as Managing Director since 2008. His exit comes as the company is undergoing a management restructuring which will see Dean Possenniskie (pictured, below) assume the mantle of leadership as of July 20th as part of his current role as Managing Director, EMEA for A+E Networks.
Davidson served as MD of the company for the past seven years and more recently during a period of exponential growth, with the launch of Lifetime in several key markets. That period of growth also saw the launch of new channel brands, including Lifetime and H2. Over that time, A+E Networks UK’s cumulative subscriber base doubled to more than 100 million households worldwide.
“It has been a great pleasure to lead the venture over the past seven years through a period of high growth. I am sure the company will continue to grow and succeed under Dean’s leadership and I wish the best for the global A+E Networks family in the future,” said Tom Davidson.
“On behalf of A+E Networks and Sky, we thank Tom for his commitment and leadership during his successful tenure with the venture”, added Dean Possenniskie. “I look forward to working with the talented team at A+E Networks UK to drive further growth in the UK and our other key territories.”
