Emma Hamilton (Poirot: Dead Mans Folly) and Zoe Richards (How To Become A Criminal Mastermind) have joined the cast of ITV’s period drama Mr Selfridge for its upcoming fourth season, TVWise has learned.
The duo have been tapped for key roles in the new season of the ITV Studios produced drama, with Hamilton and Richards having been cast as the infamous Dolly sisters. Harry Selfridge became besotted with the Dolly’s, the sensational ground-breaking performers of their era, and the sisters were ultimately large factors in in his eventual fall from grace.
Emma Hamilton and Zoe Richards are the latest additions to the show’s cast for the fourth season. As TVWise previously reported, 24: Live Another Day alum Sacha Dhawan has boarded as a regular; while Lottie Tolhurst and Mimi Ndiweni will guest star. They join returning cast members Jeremy Piven, Katherine Kelly, Tom Goodman-Hill, Ron Cook, Amanda Abbington, Amy Beth Hayes and Trystan Gravelle, Sacha Parkinson and Samuel West.
Mr Selfridge‘s 10 episode fourth season will focus on Harry’s dramatic fall as he loses hold on the empire and social status that he worked so hard to create. The scripts are being penned by a writing team that includes Helen Raynor, Kate O’Riordan, James Payne, Matt Jones, Hamish Wright and Ben Morris. Dominic Barlow is the series producer, while Helen Raynor, Katie Lewis and Rebecca Eaton will serve as executive producers. Production is now underway for a 2016 premiere on ITV in the UK and PBS’ Materpiece in the U.S.
