Fox is making some tweaks to their just picked up drama series Minority Report.
After initially setting Stark Sands to play both male lead characters (twin brothers Dash and Arthur) in the series, Fox has opted to split the difference, with Sands now only playing Dash, while One Big Happy star Nick Zano has joined Minority Report as a series regular and will play Arthur.
The Arthur character, who appeared in the original feature film and had a minor role in the pilot, is described as having a hard shell that was borne of years of difficult experience in the outside world – something that his brother Dash avoided. So while Dash selflessly and heroically tries to stop the future murders he sees in his precognitive visions, his estranged twin uses his gift to consolidate personal wealth and power in the building of an empire.
Envisioned as a sequel to the Tom Cruise feature film of the same name, Minority Report is set 10 years after the end of pre-crime in D.C. when one of the three pre-cogs struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions of the future. He meets a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose for his gift. Produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Amblin Television and Paramount Television, the project was penned by Max Borenstein, who serves as an executive producer alongside Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Kevin Falls. The cast includes Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Stark Sands, Meagan Good, Laura Regan and Wilmer Valderrama.
