Fresh off of picking up Fifteen To One for a further three seasons/100 episodes, Channel 4 has ordered four specials of the celebrity edition of the quiz show, which will be fronted by Australian comedian and The Last Leg star Adam Hills.
Celebrity Fifteen To One largely follows the format of the original series, with the only difference being that the tens of thousands of pounds they celebrities compete for goes towards charity. The four specials will include notable figures from the worlds of comedy, entertainment, sport and music. Argonon owned Remedy Productions is producing. Laura Turner is the series producer, while Julie Kelling will executive produce.
Some of the celebrities confirmed for the specials include Sean Lock, Kay Burley, Alex James, Bill Oddie, Ken Livingstone, Rebecca Front, Ed Byrne, Natalie Cassidy, Una Foden, Isy Suttie, David Baddiel, Rhod Gilbert, Sara Pascoe, Gary Delaney, Shobna Gulati, , Rob Beckett, Caroline Quentin, Julian Clary, Tanni Grey-Thompson, Gyles Brandreth and Ellie Taylor.
“We’re thrilled to have the supreme quizmaster Adam Hills at the helm keeping our fifteen celebrities in check”, said Ed de Burgh, Channel 4’s Commissioning Editor for Entertainment, who is overseeing the specials. “Watching Britain’s top celebrity minds battle it out in the Fifteen To One challenge will certainly be unmissable television!”
“We’re so excited to be making more Celebrity Fifteen to One and it’s a joy to be working with the brilliant Adam Hills again”, added Remedy Productions’ Chief Creative Officer Tom Blakeson. “Today’s announcement demonstrates the continued success of this great partnership.”
