PowerLess than 24 hours after outstripping Spartacus to become Starz’s highest rated original series, the network has picked up a third season of their hour-long drama series Power, starring 50 Cent. 10 episodes have been ordered for the show’s third season, which is slated to premiere in 2016.

“I am thrilled to learn that season three of ‘Power’ has been officially ordered by Starz”, said series creator, executive producer and showrunner Courtney Kemp Agboh. “It is an honor to work with Chris Albrecht, Carmi Zlotnik, Ken Segna and the whole Starz team.  Their support has been steadfast from the beginning, and I look forward to a bright future together.”

Power is a crime drama set in two different worlds: the glamorous New York club scene and the brutal drug trade. Ghost’s work troubles pale in comparison to juggling his relationship with his wife, Tasha, and his first love, Angela, who’s also an Assistant U.S. Attorney investigating his drug organization. The drama series is produced by CBS Television Studios and stars Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Joseph Sikora, Adam Huss, Andy Bean, Sinqua Walls, Enrique Murciano, Luis Antonio Ramos, La La Anthony and Diane Neal.
