HumansChannel 4’s high profile co-production Humans will premiere on Sunday June 14th at 9pm, some two weeks ahead of the series’ debut on AMC in the United States.

From Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley, Humans is set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a ‘Synth’ – a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart. In the hope of transforming the way they live, one strained suburban family purchases a refurbished synth only to discover that sharing life with a machine has far-reaching and chilling consequences.

The eight drama series, which is a co-production between Channel 4, AMC, Kudos Film & TV and Matador Films, is based on the Scandinavian series Real Humans and stars William Hurt (Damages), Rebecca Front (The Thick Of It), Colin Morgan (The Fall), Katherine Parkinson (The Honourable Woman), Tom Goodman-Hill (Mr Selfridge), Neil Maskell (Utopia) and Gemma Chan (Fresh Meat) .
