The CW is the last of the five broadcast network to unveil their fall 2015-2016 schedule and, like their sister network CBS, they are making very few changes, with the Arrow and Supernatural staying put on Wednesday night, while the vast majority of their new series – including Arrow/Flash spin-off DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow – being held until mid-season.
Only one of the three new series is getting a fall berth. That one is Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which got a surprising pick-up as an hour-long series after initially being developed as a half-hour at corporate sibling Showtime. It is being with fellow hour-long comedy Jane The Virgin on Monday nights, with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend at 8pm and Jane at 9pm.
Sticking with what works, Tuesday nights also remain unchanged with The Flash staying put at 8pm and iZombie following just behind at 9pm. While Thursday night will see The Vampire Diaries being paired with spin-off The Originals – a move that had been expected for some time.
The last major change on the network’s schedule is moving Reign from its previous Thursday night time-slot to Friday night at 8pm, where it will serve as the lead in to cycle 22 of America’s Next Top Model. Containment (formerly known as Cordon), Beauty & The Beast, The 100 and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow are being benched until midseason.
