Upfronts 2015: First Look At The CW’s ‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’

DC's Legends Of Tomorrow

TVWise continues our Upfronts coverage with a first look at The CW new drama series DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow.

In DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, which is a spin-off of both Arrow and The Flash, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter, having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself.  Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

From Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros Television, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber (Alias), Brandon Routh (Arrow), Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who), Caity Lotz (Arrow), Ciarra Renee (Pippin), Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow), Dominic Purcell (Prison Break) and Wentworth Miller (The Flash). The executive producers are Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim.

Fascinating, DC versus Marvel is well under way still minus their main breadwinners Batman and Superman. How all these character combinations are going to make any sense overall is up to the tolerance of the viewer, the enhanced human concept of Arrow is now taken over by the super hero genre which asks the question of how Arrow which was the origin of this CW series can keep itself fresh when as demonstrated The Flash is all you need to save the day. I don’t see Robbie Amell which is curios as their was speculation about his character role.
