‘Uncle Buck’ Picked Up To Series At ABC

Uncle BuckABC has picked up a fourth new comedy for the 2015-2016 season. The network has handed out a series order to family comedy Uncle Buck, a reboot of the 1980s feature films of the same starring Survivor’s Remorse alum Mike Epps.

Uncle Buck follows the eponymous character who is described as being a loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By happy coincidence, his nieces and nephew’s Nanny has just quit and his brother and sister-in-law need his help.

The rebooted comedy was penned by Steven Cragg  & Brian Bradley and is being produced by ABC’s sister studio ABC Studios. The cast includes Mike Epps, Nia Long, James Lesure, Iman Benson, Sayeed Shahidi and Aalyrah Caldwell. The executive producers are Will Packer, Brian Bradley and Steven Cragg.

Uncle Buck becomes the tenth new series that ABC has picked up for next season. Late last night, the network handed out series orders to the likes of The Catch, The Muppets, Quantico, Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project (formerly known as Boom), Dr Ken, Wicked City, The Real O’Neals, Of Kings And Prophets and The Family.
