Franz Drameh Joins The CW’s Arrow/The Flash Spin-Off

Franz DrumehBritish actor Franz Drameh has joined the cast of The CW’s proposed Arrow & The Flash spin-off, which is presently being eyed for a berth on the network’s mid-season schedule.

Drameh, whose previous credits include BBC Three’s Some Girls and the Tom Cruise feature film Edge Of Tomorrow, has been cast as Jay Jackson, a former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew

He is expected to be the last regular cast addition to the project, which has yet to get an official series green-light from the top brass at The CW. Other cast members include Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Victor Garber, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darvill and Ciara Renée.

From Warner Bros Television, the as-yet untitled spin-off is described as a “team up” show, featuring recurring players from both Arrow and The Flash, as well as other characters from the DC Comics universe. The executive producers are Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim.

Obviously DC Comics and the Arrow producers want to catch up with Marvel, considering the close knit cast members roving to and from each others shows the principal actors are going to be very busy, main drawback could be that some broadcasters may wish not to invest in all the spin-offs but it’s probably unlikely.
