National Geographic Channels International has taken global rights to a raft of programmes produced and distributed by Earth Touch.
The five programmes covered by said deal include Tiger On The Run, Electric Amazon, I, Crocodile, Creative Killers and After Dark; all of which will air international on National Geographic Channels International’s Nat Geo Wild channel later this year.
“We are pleased to have a solid global partner in Nat Geo Wild and their unswerving support is hugely valuable to us”, said Chris Fletcher, Earth Touch’s Director of Sales and Programming. “Earth Touch has built up a terrific team of young producers and camera directors and we look forward to seeing this new raft of films air internationally through Nat Geo Wild.”
Tiger On The Run follows a young male tiger as he embarks on a hazardous journey to find sanctuary on the fringes of an Indian national park; Electric Amazon follows Professor Will Crampton as he attempts to unlock and discover the secrets of electric fish in the Amazon river; I, Crocodile examines crocodile behaviour by examining its anatomy through an autopsy; Creative Killers explores the hits and misses of the world’s deadliest hunters; while Hippos After Dark looks at the dangers Hippos face at night, when 80% of nature’s predatory behaviour occurs.
