The Sony owned kids channel Pop has agreed a deal with PGS Entertainment for the UK rights to animated series Robin Hood: Mischief In Sherwood, TVWise has learned.
Robin Hood: Mischief In Sherwood follows the adventures of the young Robin of Locksley, who is full of energy, courage and humor. At 10 years old, Robin and his friends live more adventures than most adults do, without missing an opportunity to have fun.
In addition to the UK licensing agreement, PGS Entertainment has sold the 52 episode series, which was originally commissioned by DeA Kinds in Italy, ZDF in Germany and French broadcasters TF1 and Disney Channel, to MTVA in Hungary.
With this latest round of deals, Robin Hood: Mischief In Sherwood has now been sold across continental Europe. PGS previously lined up deals for the show with RTL TéléKids in the Netherlands, BBC Alba in Scotland, RTS in French Switzerland, MTV3 in Finland, NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, LRT in Lithuania and Pixel Channel in the Ukraine.
“Robin Hood has been a great hit with 6 to 10 year olds around the world and we’re delighted to have achieved this milestone in Europe,” said PGS Entertainment’s Philippe Soutter“Its popularity comes from the fact that both kids and their parents love the show. Kids love the adventures and mischief Robin and his pals get into, and parents appreciate the lessons they learn along the way.”
