Ovation Takes US Rights To ITV Daytime Series '60 Minute Makeover' – TVWise

60 Minute Makeover is crossing the pond.
Arts focussed network Ovation has acquired the US broadcast right to the daytime home makeover series after agreeing a deal with ITV’s sister company ITV Studios Global Entertainment, TVWise has learned. The package covers some 40 episodes of the series, which will premiere on Ovation on Tuesday March 10th.
60 Minute Makeover follows a team of design specialists who have just one hour to transform three rooms. The team uses all their tricks of the trade to provide an instant style injection into homes across the country. The show hails from the ITV Studios owned Shiver Production, who have produced some 10 seasons and more than 500 episodes for ITV.
“60 Minute Makeover has been a popular daytime series in the UK for some time. Its high-energy theme of revamping run-down and tired rooms in just an hour, to the surprise and delight of the home owner, really draws viewers in and provides the kind of artistic inspiration we like to feature on our channel,” said Scott Woodward, Ovation’s EVP, Programming and Production. “We think US viewers will quickly become addicted to this clever approach to a popular TV show genre.”
